Ad Van Riel is a Dutch artist whose works have been extensively exhibited on a national level, as well as in Germany. For him, painting is not about making images or creating a personal view of the world around him. Instead, Van Riel describes his creations as a registration of his own subconsciousness, through which the brushmarks of paint reveal figures and forms. His otherworldly landscapes are created using acrylic and oils on canvas or linen.
