About this artwork
This small work speaks to the wolf's power of vision. If we look at the wolf through the lens of the sacred, we sense its essence. Its movement is guided by instinct, its step follows its pure, wild vision, uninfluenced by false beliefs. It is the symbol of integrity and loyalty; an archetypal image of the Soul, of the unconscious, the seat of drives and instincts.
The wolf represents the Shadow within each of us, often denied and repressed, but… is instead a powerful ancestral energy, a precious creative and transformative alchemical material (magenta), in that silent process of healing (cyan blue), from immersion in the dark depths of the Soul, to the Light of the Spirit.

Ada Mascolo is an Italian painter and visual artist, educated at the Liceo Artistico "R. Cottini" and the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. She primarily works in painting and drawing. Her technique relies on glazes, layering of color, and intuitive gestures, creating forms suspended between presence and absence; white becomes the site of invisible epiphany. In her natural and symbolic landscapes, the artist evokes a sensorial meditation that touches on the fragility and strength of matter. Her works exude intense spiritual and contemplative emotion.
