We are sea and we are wind, thus opens the breath of this work, born from a ritual that celebrates the vital and changing force of nature.
"Spirit of the Sea and the Wind" is a dialogue between elements, an offering of harmony and movement, where matter allows the invisible to pass through.
In this work I was inspired by the primordial energy of water and air, two forces that transmute the earth and the human soul, in a continuous cycle of birth,… dissolution, and rebirth.
The creative gesture becomes a ritual: an act of connection with natural spirits, a dance that fuses body, breath, and matter into a single flow. The work thus becomes a threshold between the human and the cosmic, the visible and the invisible.
As a guardian of Eastern rituals, I act as an intermediary between the elements: I evoke, listen, and return, so that the sea and the wind continue to speak to me.
Ada Mascolo is an Italian painter and visual artist, educated at the Liceo Artistico "R. Cottini" and the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin. She primarily works in painting and drawing. Her technique relies on glazes, layering of color, and intuitive gestures, creating forms suspended between presence and absence; white becomes the site of invisible epiphany. In her natural and symbolic landscapes, the artist evokes a sensorial meditation that touches on the fragility and strength of matter. Her works exude intense spiritual and contemplative emotion.
