About this artwork
Having lived and worked next to the ocean for many years, watching the moon rise each day had a strong, calming and positive effect on Adam. It was inevitable that he would create at piece that alluded to the moon and its cycle. In this instance Adam chose to focus on that magical period just after the full moon rises.
The moon is ever present in human existence. The piece is made from English Yew which was sacred to Hecate, the Greek Goddess of… witchcraft, death, and necromancy. As the day end and the moon rises, we pass from the end of one day through the darkness of night to the beginning of the next day.
