About this artwork
One of two pieces commissioned by The Royal Navy Historic Flight to represent their Sea Vixen jet Aircraft, a controversial twin boom configuration fighter bomber from the cold war era.
This is an abstraction on the female and aerodynamic forms, a play on the Sea Vixen, a powerful aircraft and a spirited, perhaps wanton woman. Her wings are folded over her chest in a somewhat coy fashion that belies her power and cunning. A melange of aerodynamic… and human form but quite androgynous in some ways....

Adam Warwick Hall is a passionate British sculptor who has exhibited his work throughout England. Fascinated by aircraft and aerodynamic surfaces, and equally by the natural world and the proportions of animals and plants, he seeks to create a melange between airplanes and animals, limbs and leaves, fuselages and torsos. His bronze casts offer strong physicality and an immersive experience of form, shape and texture.
