About this artwork
The work refers to that kind of deafening nervousness that fills the mind. It's the kind that assails you during a crisis: you can't breathe, an increasingly loud noise envelops you like screams and forces you to hold your head in your hands, making you shake and press on your temples, and leading you to scream and tremble and cry. You just want it all to be over in an instant, but that moment lasts a really long time.

Adriano Scarano is a self-taught painter, illustrator, and digital artist born in 1998 in Mottola (Taranto, Italy). He has been in love with art since he was young. He paints instinctively on treated cotton canvas, preferring oil paints (although he also works with acrylics) and adopting a spontaneous approach to pencil drawing, where faces are deliberately concealed to emphasize posture. His works delve into introspection, conveying a profound empathy for loneliness, sadness, and weariness, inviting viewers to recognize themselves and feel understood, never alone. Many of his works have been exhibited virtually and physically throughout Italy (Martina Franca, Monopoli, Florence). His work "Guy 451" was also used as the cover of the book "Il fermo proposito" by Cosimo Scarano, published by Algra Editore.
