This watercolor was born in a quiet moment during the Watercolor Festival in Świdnica — a city where time seems to slow down just enough to notice the subtle beauty of everyday life.
I remember standing there, surrounded by soft voices, distant footsteps, and the gentle hum of a summer afternoon. The light was shifting across the square, touching the facades with warmth, while shadows quietly settled into the… streets. It wasn’t a spectacular scene — and maybe that’s exactly why it stayed with me.
This painting is not about architecture or precision. It is about a feeling — the fleeting atmosphere of a place where life unfolds softly, without urgency. The empty space, the distant umbrellas, the blurred edges — they all hold a memory of presence, even in absence.
I wanted to capture that delicate balance between light and silence. A moment you don’t plan, but somehow remember.
