About this artwork
I was mesmerized by the incredible patterns on this eucalyptus trunk—the way the bark peels and curls to reveal these amazing layers of color beneath. What struck me most was how nature had created this abstract masterpiece right there on the tree, with corals, purples, and jade greens flowing together like a living painting. Working with oils, I pushed the saturation beyond what the eye normally sees, wanting to capture not just the visual beauty…
but the pure joy I felt discovering this hidden artwork. The bark's natural shedding process creates these wonderful organic shapes and color combinations that no human artist could plan. Standing close to the tree, I realized that some of the most extraordinary art happens quietly in nature, waiting for someone to notice and celebrate the beautiful chaos that surrounds us every day.
