I was drawn to this elevated viewpoint where I could see how the highway carved its purposeful path through this beautiful patchwork of golden fields and rolling hills. The late afternoon light was perfect – warm and clear, revealing every layer and texture in the landscape from the dry pasture in the foreground to those distant purplish ridges.
