This work is part of the series "Escaping the light", a series that transcends the descriptive meaning of the image itself, because it tells of an escape from a truth.
Very often I found myself suffering in front of a painful truth and as a defense mechanism I tried to get around it, modify it, reinterpret it, but it was still there. Sometimes it happens that to suffer less we deceive ourselves, reinventing the points of the story, but despite trying… to escape from that something we do not want to face, it remains there, waiting for us, as if it were hindering our peaceful path.

Aimone Bonucci, photographer and painter, approached art at a very young age and exhibited his first works at 17 in Livorno, the city where he grew up. He uses a synthesis of minimalism and surrealism, playing with distortion and stratification to blur reality and imagination. His works are dominated by themes of transformation, isolation and existential fragility, which dialogue with us, causing a redefinition of established perceptions. His works are an intense cry that challenges the norms and creates space for new interpretations.
