About this artwork
A dream-like white horse emerges from a shimmering, mist-covered seascape in this atmospheric contemporary painting. Soft, blurred brushstrokes create a sense of motion, as if the horse is formed from water, light, and fog itself. The muted palette of greys, silvers, and pale sea-tones enhances the ethereal, otherworldly feeling, while sparkles of reflected light dance across the surface of the water.
This artwork was created during an intensely… personal and emotional period in my life — the moment I learned about my stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis. The painting became a way to process shock, fear, and transformation. The white horse symbolizes strength, freedom of spirit, and resilience in the face of the unknown. It carries a quiet power, a sense of movement within stillness, and a reminder that beauty and hope can exist even in the most difficult times.
Aisylu is a contemporary artist whose artworks are in private collections in USA, Russia and Europe (Greece,Italy, France, Cyprus, Netherlands). In search of a major life change, Aisylu moved to Greece in 2018 to work as a yacht stewardess. It was during this time at sea that she realized how profoundly the ocean influenced her, inspiring her to return to art and focus on creating oil seascapes. Starting her life from scratch, she learned the Greek language and immersed herself in the local culture. Currently based in the port city of Piraeus, Greece, Aisylu works as an artist in the neo impressionist style. Her art serves as a reminder of the fluidity of life and the importance of not forgetting to enjoy it.
