About this artwork
For me, one of the joys of life is never knowing what is Around the Corner. What is in store for us. I love surprises. I find them exciting, especially if I have someone to share the experiences with, be that a friend or loved one or even a stranger.
Life can also be cruel, and not all that is around the corner is what we want. These too, we can learn from. Often, out of adversity or disappointment comes growth and yet more opportunities to share… and bond.

AJ Burns, a civil-engineer-turned-artist, breathes vibrant life into his expressionist acrylic paintings. Rooted in minimal tools, his transformative technique involves blowing paint across the canvas, creating riveting aquatic dynamics and abstract forms. He captures the subtle, tranquil undertones of the water's surface, transmuting the profound calmness and intrigue it imbues.
