About this artwork
The "Eternity" series is a drawing work on a precious paper, Xuan, through which I express a spontaneous gesture guided by universal energy. Each shadow, each feature appears guided by its own energy, its own desire to exist. Like the typing monkey sometimes used to describe the number pi and the capacity of chaos to generate both structured forms and the purest abstraction, I allow my gesture the greatest freedom, to discover and see shadows, families,…
tribes hidden in the details, like hidden human souls which welcome the gaze of the observer, a newcomer in an infinite world, to be discovered. Opening your eyes wide in the darkness, finding in all these forms and appearances guides, familiarity, a family.
In my approach, I want to let the paper have all its power. I can thus be led to wrinkle it, constrain it, play with its limits and mine to extract all its graphic force.
