We wonder about the place it occupies in this improbable space. He is frozen in a particular attitude, in a precise urban context. What do we think of it? What questions does this ask about himself or himself? A canvas representing an urban…

« Before starting to paint, the canvas is already full and I can only think by images. The confrontation with the raw canvas then involves the need to eliminate any apparent ease. »
Alain Cabot is an experienced artist from France whose works have been featured in exhibitions internationally. Working in mixed media, Cabot explores the concept of hybridization in his paintings, combining collage, paper, paints, and other raw materials glued onto the canvas. This concept transfers to his subject matter as well, as he superimposes an imaginary world onto reality, giving each work an unresolved opposition.
