Alain Rodier hides nothing in his canvases, everything is revealed. Sometimes the French painter and photographer will write down the meaning of the paintings onto the canvas itself. A fashion photographer, Rodier began by creating collages of his photographs which then gave way to his experimentation in painting. Influenced by pop art techniques, his works show remnants of decades passed as well as cities where he has lived and worked.
