About this artwork
Based on the graffiti I painted in the nineties on the trains of the Ferrovie Nord in Milan, I decided to create this sculpture starting from the sketch of the letter "E", which was part of one of those graffiti.
I added to the letter, as I had made it on the sheet metal of the train, new elements that would help make it more slender towards the top, to obtain a sinuous and aerodynamic effect. I made the work in white Carrara marble, from a block… that I personally chose in the Carrara quarries. I started to rough it out with a flexible, and then began to define the shapes with a dremel. But the real manual work began when I reached the perfection of the shapes and details using rasps and sandpaper with which I obtained the polish. Now I am satisfied with my work, in fact this work will carry my graffiti into eternity, unlike that graffiti that I made on the train and that was erased.
