About this artwork
It's a little fairy of the boards, a little girl dressed in sparkles and adorned with wings, ready to fly away.
It turns, twirls, gets lighter...
And then go up.
At least it looks like it's soaring through the air. In reality it does not really take off but we can easily imagine it, as the thing seems obvious to us.
In his gestures, on his forehead, through his gaze, in the depths of his soul, there is the sky.
An endless space where all… the beauties of the Earth are expressed.
The ballerina dances in the blue, her arms are like elytra, her legs as fluid as feathers.
And, imperceptibly, in people's minds, the young lady is transformed into a dragonfly... Miracle of Art!
This skilful, formal, codified choreography represents the song of Man addressed to his God.
The black star shines on the scene and the angels assist it in infinity...

Aldéhy is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in France whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Port Villa, the United States, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, and England. His thematic and narrative compositions tell stories like comic strips, narrating a beginning and an end. Aldéhy's diverse compositions are created using acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoal, and India ink on paper, canvas, wood, or synthetic board.
