In this series, Rosenberg experiments with photographing sections of 3D sculptural elements he created, scans them and then manipulates the image digitally. Rosenberg combines organic and geometric forms creating space for the viewer to get lost within. This is a small, limited edition, custom-printed artwork using the dye sublimation method that infuses dye into the surface of aluminum prints, for an archival quality artwork that will last. The… dye particles are completely enclosed within the coating, creating waterproof and scratch, and UV-resistant artwork. The material is lightweight, durable, highly resistant to corrosion, does not rust, and is naturally flame retardant, so you can be sure the painting will last.
This piece is signed, dated, and numbered by the artist. It comes with a floating mount in the back and is ready for hanging. IT DOES NOT REQUIRE THE EXPENSE OF A FRAME.
« To me as an artist, art is an ongoing evolutionary process. The more you do, the more you are prone to make so-called “happy accidents.” The happy accidents are the evolutionary parts of art that tend to have a lasting connection and stand the test of time. »
Aleks Rosenberg is a multi-disciplinary artist and filmmaker who resides in the United States and has exhibited and sold his works internationally. He received his BFA from Pratt Institute and MFA from Yale University School of Art. The central themes found in his works relate to the 'outside looking in' and the 'sun will always come up tomorrow'. For Rosenberg, there has always been tension between darkness and light, and as such, his compositions seek to find a balance between the two extremes. Working through series, he uses contrasting found or repurposed materials to leave clues for stories to be told.
