About this artwork
The composition recalls early cosmological diagrams or alchemical illustrations — layered visions of the universe where space is imagined as a sequence of fields, spheres, and energies rather than a realistic landscape.
Two figures, male and female, appear within a large, expressive green field. They interact with semi-abstract forms that hover between flowers, signs, or energetic structures — suggesting light, movement, growth, or even something… cellular, like a strand of DNA. These elements are intentionally non-specific, allowing the image to move away from literal narrative and into a more contemplative, cosmic register.
The combination of schematic abstraction and softly rendered human figures creates a sense of expanded space, as if the scene exists beyond any concrete situation. Gentle color relationships and a calm, restrained palette support the painting’s meditative atmosphere.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Aleksandr Biruk is a painter with a background in monumental art, trained at Glebov Art College and the Academy of Arts in Minsk. Her work fuses vibrant colours, expressive brushwork, and dense compositions, merging expressionism, fauvism, and contemporary figurative painting, often blurring the boundary between abstraction and figuration. She creates poetic visual fields that invite viewers into states of discovery and reflection, evoking a sense of presence, wonder, and the mysterious process of meaning-making.
