This painting depicts a detail from a photograph of a small beach, depicting the blue sea, stones, and birds such as white seagulls. These are waiting on the individual stones and in the water. The blue water has a relaxing and calming effect, inviting you to take a break.
Inspiration: The photo was taken during a two-day stay in August 2019 near St. Petersburg, as the fifth and penultimate stop during a ten-day cruise on the Baltic Sea (6 countries… in 10 days).
