About this artwork
Between Tides
Original Oil Painting
This small original oil painting is inspired by the changing tides of the North Sea, where water, light and reflections continually reshape the landscape.
As the tide recedes and returns, familiar boundaries begin to shift. Reflections merge with the water's surface, the shoreline changes, and the space between sea and sky seems to lose its weight.
Through subtle colours and expressive textures, I explore this… fleeting sense of lightness , a moment when the landscape feels less like a solid place and more like an atmosphere suspended between movement and stillness.
