About this artwork
61x76 cm of unframed image
For this painting I used various range of techniques- from an old traditional glazing/sfumato (gained its popularity in 16th-17th century) and blending to impressionistic impasto.
In this painting, I captured the untamed spirit and infinite power of the sea, portraying a vivid and turbulent ocean, captivating with each glowing, crashing wave. The interplay of blues, greens and whites focuses on the beauty of the water… moving relentlessly against the shore, under a sky that echoes the ocean's depth and infinity. This piece invites the viewer into a world of strength, serenity, and the sublime power of nature.
Alesia Yeremeyeva, an artist with deep roots in painting, employs oils to capture the spellbinding allure of the ocean. She effortlessly oscillates between alla-prima quickness and meticulous multilayering to embody her love for water's varying forms. Her artworks serve as an emotional conduit, inviting viewers to resonate with the tranquillity and majesty of the sea, pulling them away from the daily rush to a moment of awe-inspired stillness. Retaining spirit of impressionism, Alesia’s works are mainly represented in marine realism style.
Alesia’s works found their homes and are also held in several private collections in the UK, Northern Ireland, all over Europe, USA and Canada, across Middle East, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
