About this artwork
"Flash Dittico" is the name of the work, formed by two distinct canvases that together create a drawing. The latter undoubtedly refers to a flash of very intense light that illuminates and crosses the sky.
The artist with a contrast of colors represents light beams that pierce the darkness. The red cast with impetus in the background is an expression of vitality, indicates the explosion of light and symbolizes the power of the universe. The gray… background, on the other hand, represents the surface of the planet formed by craters and light, broadly speaking the universe, an invisible and unknowable space that recalls the condition in which man becomes aware of the impossibility of projecting himself into a world in which he is able to make sense of his existence. The artist's intent is in fact to portray the incessant clash between light and darkness, which appear as symbolic situations to represent the human condition.
