"Oceano" is the metaphor of the vastness of emotions and feelings that characterize the human soul.
The blue background indeed recalls the color of the sea, symbol of tranquility and serenity, but at the same time also of mystery, restlessness and danger.
The sea represented in the work appears as a stormy sea in which the two states of mind represented by the artist seem to clash with each other in a struggle of endless supremacy. Red is the… color of passion and conveys an intense and at times aggressive temperament. It represents eros and is a symbol of strength, warmth, passionate love and vital energy. Black expresses negation for the future life with a consequent refusal to fight to defeat his own weaknesses that plunge the human soul into darkness and into the uncertainty of his own feelings. The clash between these two colors is the perfect representation of how good and evil coexist perpetually in our soul.
