About this artwork
I create this paintings using acrylic colors and thousands of little pieces of recycled aluminum with a thin surface coating of transparent epoxy resin.
I used a lot of recycled cans of well-known beverages.
This portrait immediately captures attention with its originality and powerful message. I created the work using thousands of small pieces of recycled aluminum, a choice that transforms potential waste into a highly impactful artistic expression.…
From a distance, the painting reveals a face with delicate and profound expressions, while up close, one can appreciate the nuances and plays of light created by the metallic texture.
The effect is a dynamic mosaic that reflects light in unexpected ways, giving life and depth to the subject.
This piece is not only a demonstration of technical skill, but also a hymn to sustainability and the beauty that can arise from reuse.
« Art serves to remember, to leave a testimony of our existence. »
Alessio Mazzarulli transforms everyday materials into a reflection on time and perception. After his debut in clay modeling, he transferred his three-dimensional sensitivity to material painting, where relief and tactility become central. He uses fragments of recycled paper, rescuing traces of everyday life from oblivion, and with acrylics and resins he “freezes” time in deliberately distorted images, composed of fragmentary elements that invite an overall vision. In the “Dot Art” series, he uses small wooden discs to explore the voids of memory: the spaces between the elements evoke what is lost and push the observer to reconstruct the image, creating a dialogue between reality and perception in which time is experienced through erosion and visual recomposition.
