« Painting is a physical process grounded in gratitude and wonder. I am addicted to the moment of connection, of shared understanding, that is created when a viewer finds meaning in a painting. »
Alex McIntyre is an award-winning artist based in the United Kingdom whose paintings have been exhibited in England, the United States, and Romania. Her works are most often inspired by walking, running, or cycling through the countryside. However, her landscapes are not depictions of specific locations, they are the result of "accumulated and translated experiences". Through her art, McIntyre hopes to remind viewers of places they have known or would like to know.
