About this artwork
Unwind (transparency control), 100x160 cm, Acrylic on Canvas; Sojic, 2020
unframed with borders 105x170 cm
Original work.
Unwind - the moment when we feel free and ready to relax after a period of tension -the moment of 'unwinding' that might help us in healing, forgetting, or in constructing our past and our future. That is the moment when we can challenge our reality.
This painting is created in the period of epidemic outbreak, when millions… of people in Milan and around the world are going through a new phase in their lives. Human experience of this state of emergency that drives certain changes in daily habits, perceptions of self and others, may also produce some long-term effects on our society.
The certificate of authenticity contains a unique catalogue number of this artwork.
Shipped unstretched canvas, protected and carefully rolled in a tube.

Alex Sojic
Italy
« An irresistible attraction of semi-figurative art emerges from its ability to liberate and call for action. This dynamic interplay can trigger the deepest personal perceptions of the contemporary reality, our individual, cultural, and socio-political constructs. »
Alex Sojic is an artist based in Italy whose paintings have been featured in both solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her art examines the "trajectories of contemporary society", human nature, self perceptions, and interpersonal relationships. Sojic's semi-figurative compositions are intuitive and expressive. She paints using acrylics and oil on canvas.
