About this artwork
Priya is a more recent experiment within the Vibrado series. There was an attention on tropical locations and more organic forms within the composition. The piece begins to delve into more floral direction with some more recognizable shapes. It starts to bridge the gap between abstraction and realism - while keeping the same gestural energy as the previous pieces in the series.

Art has always been an escape from reality for Alex Watson. Vital for his well-being. Through the act of painting, he transforms negative energies into something meaningful and hopes to inspire others to do so as well. Watson primarily works with acrylics and uses a variety of mixed media tools for mark-making. His gestural strokes are organic in form, taking on geometric and angular shapes through many layers.
