About this artwork
Chamber of Light is a meditation on stillness and depth. I created this piece to evoke the feeling of drifting into an unknown space—like submerging into deep water or stepping into a quiet, hidden chamber illuminated by soft, shifting blue light.
I layered translucent washes of ultramarine, indigo, and muted green, letting each tone blur and merge organically. The subtle gradients and dissolving edges are meant to slow the viewer down, inviting… a contemplative pause.
For me, this painting is about finding a moment of quiet within complexity—a place where everything feels suspended and weightless. It’s an exploration of how darkness can hold light, and how mystery can feel comforting rather than overwhelming.
