I leaned into contrast: rich magentas pressed up against dark teal, a quiet flash of gold on the edge, and a vertical divide that almost splits the canvas. It’s… not a clean break, though. The paint softens the border, the way time does with emotion. I wanted this painting to hold ambiguity—not conflict, not resolution, just the layered residue of remembering.
