This collage is made of linden ,nut, coated with varnish .The background is covered with oil paint on canvas.
Icarus (dr. Greek Ἴκαρος) - in ancient Greek mythology, the son of Daedalus and the slave Navraty, known for his unusual death.
To escape from the island of Crete from the annoyed Minos, the master Daedalus made wings for himself and his son, held together by wax, and Daedalus asked: “ Do not rise too high; the sun will melt the… wax. Do not fly too low; sea water will fall on feathers and they will get wet. ” But already during the flight to Hellas, Icarus became so carried away by the flight that he forgot his father's instructions and rose very high, approaching too close to the Sun. The rays of the Sun melted the wax, as a result, Icarus fell and drowned near the island of Samos in the sea, which in this part was called Ikari. His body, nailed by the waves to the shore, was buried by Heracles on the small island of Dolich, named after him Ikaria

Alexander Shkarbanenko is an Armenian sculptor whose pieces have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Russia. In his works, he does not single out a main theme. Rather, all the images appear in the process of his artistic path and are presented in various series. Shkarbanenko employs varying styles, including modern, abstract, surrealism, and avant-garde. His favorite material is a dervo, he also uses metal, glass, and paint. All his pieces are created manually with the use of cutters.
