About this artwork
This work is a passionate representation of dynamics and emotions captured in abstract acrylics. As an artist, I wanted to explore the tension and interplay between light and darkness centered around a central, dark ovoid reminiscent of a total lunar eclipse. Alexander Wotschel is a Ukrainian-German, multidisciplinary artist and art teacher born in Krasnoturinsk, who lives in Germany and has exhibited his work in various countries. His artistic style and expression are diverse and conveyed through abstract still lifes and portraits. Through Expressionism, Wotschel works creatively with color, then establishes a foundation for creating a composition. His bold works are translated into acrylics, oils, collage, and pastels on canvas or paper.
