About this artwork
My work is based on different concepts of design and architecture, with which I represent elements of nature through the grid and the basic shapes of geometry, creating a link between the forgotten knowledge of antiquity and the utopian ideologies of modernity where numbers and proportions create order and balance.

Alexander Wtges is a painter and sculptor based in Panama whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Italy, Colombia, Spain, France, and the United States. He describes his art as being based on different theories of design and architecture, with which I represent elements of nature through the lattice and the basic forms of geometry. In addition, Wtges charterizes his composotions as being imbued with tribal art, brutalism, suprematism, neo-concreteism, or hardedge movements.
