About this artwork
A New Phase
From the series “Just a Phase”
The cycle begins with A New Phase: The artwork depicts the stillness of a new beginning—that moment between darkness and first light. Delicate layers of color and flowing forms evoke the energy of the moon: invisible, but tangible.
The image thrives on the interplay of stillness and latent movement – as if the invisible were gradually beginning to take shape.
Stronger accents break through the restrained… composition like flashes of inspiration at the beginning of an inner transformation. It is a work about abundance and the promise of future transformations.
A New Phase is part of the Just a Phase series, which interprets the lunar cycle as a symbol of change, return, and rebirth. Each work represents a station on this journey—A New Phase is the beginning.
Currently on display at Kooa Concept, Fröschengasse, Saarbrücken. Available in-store or online.
Alexandra Bohemia, trained in art and architectural history, and architecture, prefers to work with mixed media. She combines intuitive and controlled techniques to create emotional topographies through the fluid, luminous use of color. Alexandra's art opens a dialogue between textures and transparencies, creating depth through layering. With the intention of capturing fleeting moments, her work inspires attention, slowing down, and appreciating the beauty of each moment.
