About this artwork
"SIMPLE BEING" a work from the series "Traces of Being" from 2024.
I fly, I fly
Through space and time,
glide gently through life,
the present and the past.
Always on the lookout
after man,
who I am,
who I was
and who I could be.
Then, suddenly, silence.
A moment of nothingness,
just breathing,
and the comfortable, secure rest
so close to paradise.
In this silence I find myself,
in the infinity of the moment,
where the search… ends
and simple being begins.
A powerful, dynamic work measuring 50 x 40 x 7 (!) cm. Acrylic on canvas, worked with a brush and spatula. The picture consists of many layers of paint that create an intense, colorful effect. Collage elements and structures create an interesting framework for the application of paint.
It is hand signed and ready to hang.

« Sometimes you have to paint over the edge to get a different view. »
Alexandra Machmar is an artist living in Germany. The canvas is her playground, where she has carte blanche. Brushes and paint are her ticket to another world.
Her pictures are the memory of her life's traces, the archive of her life, so to speak. They make memories, feelings, and experiences visible.
Her goal is to express her positive attitude to life in colorful compositions.
With my art I have searched for stubbornness, guided by intuition, dreams and the magic of the subconscious.
With my pictures I capture the colorful rebellious and also the quiet deep moments
to reawaken enthusiasm for our lives again and again.
