About this artwork
It is a bold abstract expressionism painting with a unique juxtaposition; the color scheme is calming, while the textures are fierce to depict nature's beauty. A cracked texture was applied to the white portion to represent thick ice cracks, burgundy and yellow-green hues for frozen earth, and a variety of medium and dark blue hues for water that is just starting to freeze in Antarctica's cold climate.
