Inspired by her own experience during a hurricane on the Mexican Pacific coast.
A mural-size quadriptych of great impact due to the dynamic wide, bold strokes going across the panels, plus the richness of details to be discovered in closer observation.
She opts for a minimalist color palette, where black & white predominate with tenuous hues in blue & yellow.
Using different mediums Alexia adds a variety of textures providing the characteristic… plasticity of her work.
The water is depicted with huge intensity, without hesitation; combining different shiny, translucent finishes, from subtle to ultra-glossy, giving a wet look that contrasts impeccably with the sky.
A line of intense white light divides sea & sky.
The sky is made up of 9 thin semi-transparent, matte layers giving it great clarity & depth.
A dazzling painting that brings energy & light to the space.

Sosa explores dreams and nature, and transformation through time. When she works,
