About this artwork
WINTER WAVES is a visual symphony of textures. This mural size painting incorporates different techniques; starting from the direct expressive traces of charcoal, chalk, and serigraphic ink, the artist builds up the compositions of this abstract landscape by adding different textures to each zone that we discover as we come closer and closer to the canvas. She includes her homemade encaustic paint, produce with cruelty-free beeswax.
With an almost… monochromatic approach, she uses different shades of white, silver & blue for the body, expressing the coldness and dynamism of this wintery scape which may be interpreted as mountains or sea waves. At the top, she leaves a shy bright sky with yellowish and orange tones, representing the sunrise; the warm promise of morning sunshine.
The sides of the canvas are painted as well.
