Alexis Raoult is a French draftsman who has exhibited his works both nationally and in the United States. For him, portraiture allows the accentuation of beauty in an animal or person. Raoult also describes portraits as a journey, where each stroke of the pencil aims to bring out the character trait of his subject, thereby delivering strong emotions to the viewer. His incredibly detailed compositions are created using pencils and graphite on paper.
