« Panta Rhei, the aphorism attributed to Heraclitus perfectly captures my artistic ethos, that everything flows, everything changes, nothing is immobile, all things are in a state of flux. »
Established Italian painter Alfred Pini was drawn to painting and studied the masters from an early age. A figurative artist his style is characterised by fast and expressive brushstrokes, which capture the movement and vibrancy of his subjects.
Rapid change is a strong theme which is present in all of Alfred's pieces, as is the confusion and anxiety this creates in the modern world. Through his artwork and their metaphorical titles Alfred inspires the viewer to take a step back, to abandon the repetitiveness of daily life and aspiration for perfection. To live in the moment, 'fly over the details' as it is the bigger picture which is truly important.
Alfred's prize winning artworks have been exhibited widely throughout his native Italy and are held in both public and private collections.
