I do not try to paint nature as it is but as I feel it. Its shadows, its light, its contrasts above all offer a drawn and colorful palette that I express on all kinds of media, notebooks or large format cardboard boxes.

As a child, Aline Wiest was first drawn to art through an exposure to the humourist drawings of Edmond Kiraz, Les Parisiennes. In her practice, Wiest uses acrylic paints applied in a gestural style to her canvas. The results are paintings full of body and movement characterized by a harmonious color palette.
