As a child, Aline Wiest was first drawn to art through an exposure to the humourist drawings of Edmond Kiraz, Les Parisiennes. In her practice, Wiest uses acrylic paints applied in a gestural style to her canvas. The results are paintings full of body and movement characterized by a harmonious color palette.
