This diptych is part of an ongoing series exploring the behavior of watercolor as an autonomous material.
Created with lightfast watercolor pigments known for their intense granulation, the work observes how color disperses, gathers, and suspends itself on paper.
In these pieces, I embraced the fluidity of watercolor to capture fleeting emotions through minimal, abstract forms. The soft, misty blues evoke calm and introspection, inviting serenity… into any space. I wanted to create a quiet, meditative energy that connects the viewer to the subtle beauty of simplicity and the delicate dance of light on paper.
