About this artwork
This was a commissioned portrait (one of two - brothers). The challenge for the artist was in working entirely from a photograph. This comment was received by the sitters' father "...most excellent portraits, you've captured the essence of both the boys..."

« My artwork stems from an emotional response to a place: London (where I was born) always fascinates, and cities generally. A link to the feeling of being an observer, and maybe something of an outsider. »
