‘Theta’ 2023. Hand-painted watercolour, acrylic and paper collage on four-panelled wooden boards. 38” x 46” overall, each board 18” x 24”.
Theta, known as the ‘twilight state’ and often associated with mystical experiences. It’s the state we are in before entering deep sleep. We also find it as we rise out of deep sleep and go into waking consciousness. Theta associated with waking dream state, filled with vivid imagery and clear auditory perceptions.… In this state, we are receptive to information from our superconscious mind and are better able to hear the voice of the healer within.
