Using white pencils, I tried to capture the depth and expressiveness of this monkey's face. The interplay of light and shadow makes its emotions almost palpable. This work brings a powerful tranquility to the room, magically drawing the eye and reminding us how close even the wildest nature can be to us. The picture is mounted with a white passe-partout.
