Eight vertical image fragments from two famous works combine to form a new whole. This change in color reflects society's treatment of Marilyn Monroe, one of the most photographed women of the 20th century.
Monroe appears as a split, multifaceted identity. The arrangement of stripes creates distance, yet guarantees a rhythmic composition. Harsh contrasts between dark shadows and metallic shimmer lend the work a majestic, elegant, and melancholic… effect.
