About this artwork
With abstract sculpture language, the work depicts the growth of plants in nature, after the rain has ended, they race to develop with new sources of energy and new vitality. The work is created by using electric welding technique on the surface of metal plates with overlapping welds to create space and content of the work.

An Tran Van is a prizewinning sculptor from Vietnam whose works have been featured in exhibitions internationally. Passionate about modeling clay ever since childhood, he now creates abstract sculptures out of stainless steel that are inspired by natural landscapes. His work is minimalist and characterized by monochrome color palettes and fields of textures, ridges, and raised bumps on smooth surfaces.
