About this artwork
MENINA 2.
Work done with mixed technique. I have used different pictorial loads looking, through the different materials, for plastic qualities that can be interesting.
This image is part of my MENINAS series.
I seek to represent, with the same image, different pictorial languages.
I have used burlap sackcloth as a support on a wooden panel.
It has a natural colored wooden frame. Ready to wear in any environment.
« I paint landscapes and atmospheres to create places where the gaze can rest. »
My work does not start from a closed subject, but from a constant investigation into the atmosphere, the emotion and the way in which we inhabit spaces.
My painting stems from the need to translate into images the emotions I feel in the places I observe and inhabit. I am interested in the changing light, the architecture that holds memories, the silences, the shadows, and the color that envelops spaces.
I work with landscapes—sometimes recognizable, sometimes closer to abstraction—through matter, texture, and gesture, seeking to create atmospheres that invite you to pause and feel. I don't pursue a literal representation, but rather an emotional experience.
Although the themes vary, all my works share the same intention: to bring soul to the space that houses them. I conceive of each piece as a presence that accompanies, created with time, care, and creative freedom.
