About this artwork
"Landscape 8" is a small, charming painting I did as a part of the challenge I gave myself. The idea was to paint one landscape per day. Therefore, the canvases needed to be small and done with acrylic paint, in order to be finished quickly.
With some works, I was satisfied, with others not so much. Landscape 8 is one of the better ones, in my opinion.
The challenge was a great exercise that provided me with the opportunity to experiment with styles,… colors, and various themes within the landscape.
For some paintings, I used my own photos but since I didn't have enough I had to turn to google for help. This one is a beautiful image of the majestic Alps, they were enveloped in pinkish fog and it drew me in instantaneously.
I always thought there is something mysterious in mountains, especially the great ones such as the Alps. I hope I managed to convey a bit of the atmosphere I saw in there. I believe that this small, cute painting will bring joy to someone.
